"Forgiveness, a Fragrance from Paradise"
On this Nishabur earthenware plate, traces of art and wisdom intertwine. A white background, pure as noble thought, frames a Kufic inscription whose graceful rhythm delights the eye. The words seem to gather in concentric circles, whispering an eternal message:
"Forgiveness is the virtue of Paradise-dwellers."
Letters like branches of an ancient tree, with their gentle curves, plant seeds of generosity and magnanimity in the viewer's heart. The rim adorns crimson motifs - hues speaking of affection's warmth and kindness' tenderness. Among the calligraphic flourishes, fantastical creatures emerge as if animated to breathe life into these words.
This masterpiece, now preserved in the Habib Anavian collection, is no mere pottery vessel; it's a window to the past, an echo of wisdom, and a reminder of what brings us closer to Paradise: forgiveness.
